Irish History Round Table

On the second Saturday of the month (from Oct - May), in the downstairs pub, the Club hosts an Irish History Round Table.

A speaker on some subject of Irish history or culture comes to address whoever is interested in furthering their knowledge of our shared traditions. Any topic on Ireland or the Irish in general is welcome, and a glance at previous and upcoming Round Tables makes that evident.

Once the speaker finishes, there is time for discussion or Q&A.

Our speakers reflect a wide variety of persons willing to share their particular insights, from high school teachers to college professors, from Civil War re-enactors to journalists, from philatelists to bagpipers, from scholarly experts to your fellow members. We welcome anyone who wants to present a Round Table, and will work with them to make it comfortable and a success.

Our December session is given to reading selections of Irish literature or performing party pieces by attendees.

There is no admission, and the event is open to the general public.

Anyone who might want to give a talk of their own, please contact James Feeley. No credentials are necessary.
